The solution to all of the mysteries actually does make sense. However, I honestly did not solve the mystery or who kept kidnapping Roxanne before all was revealed. I figured out one of the mysteries, more or less, before all was revealed.

I really enjoyed this book from cover to cover. I enjoyed the interplay between the characters. I laughed, I got angry, I was perplexed but mostly I just didn’t want to put the book down. There is lots of witty repartee and humor. There are mysteries, excitement, and general mayhem in the story. She has a very distinctive rhythm to her writing. There is no doubt that this is a Catherine Coulter book. I feel that this story stands alone even though two characters from a prior story are minor characters in this story. I have not read any of the other Sherbrooke novels. The Prince of Ravenscar is a novel in the Sherbrooke series. He and Julian are good friends and decide to support each other through the London season. Lord Devlin Monroe is Julian’s nephew and the heir to the Duke of Brabant. Roxanne is firmly on the shelf, being a 28-year-old woman with no marriage prospects. Sophie must have a chaperone for her first season in London so she enlists her aunt Roxanne Radcliffe. Neither Julian nor Sophie are inclined to court much less marry each other. Corrine, the Dowager Duchess, hand picks Sophie Wilkie as the prospective bride. His mother, Corrine, feels that it is time for Julian to remarry and begin having children. Julian lost his beloved wife three years before the story begins.
